Postgraduate Masters Opportunities

Porous High-M HydrogelOur Masters programmes are designed to provide a deeper and more comprehensive knowledge for students who have completed a degree in Materials or a related discipline.

We are currently running a variety of Masters programmes to accommodate all the needs of our postgraduate Masters students. The Masters degrees we offer can be studied part-time or full-time (subject to the programme).

Entrance Requirements

Entrants to this programme will normally hold a good Honours degree in a cognate or relevant subject area. The learning and teaching methods will build on the qualification base and, in particular, will emphasize leading edge thinking in the theory and practice of the subject through critical awareness of current published research and research methods. Entrants shall hold a good honours degree in a relevant subject. In addition, entrants will be interviewed prior to the offer of admission. International students, who do not have English as their first language shall obtain a satisfactory IELTS, ToEFL or equivalent test score.

Applying for postgraduate research

Applications should be made on the official application form enclosed with the postgraduate prospectus. An on-line application form is available here.

We usually require two academic references in support of an application to study at Queen Mary. However, if you have been out of education for several years, it is perfectly acceptable to submit one academic and one employment reference.
