Polymer Synthesis

Polymer Chemistry Laboratory is located in the School of Engineering and Materials Science that places us in the middle of interdisciplinary research activities. We have a broad range of research interest with having polymer chemistry as the main core activity. We design new macromolecules for novel applications in medicine, biology, dentistry as well as automotive.

Our laboratories are fully equipped with high-vacuum lines to conduct ionic polymerizations and controlled radical polymerizations. We do have two gel permeation chromatography instruments running on different solvents to analyze the chain length of synthesized polymers. Moreover, we do provide contract research for small projects. Please contact Dr. Remzi Becer for further information on facilities and opportunities.
