Prof Kostya Trachenko awarded prestigious CCP5 computational physics prize
24 September 2020
Our congratulations to MRI's Professor Kostya Trachenko for receiving the CCP5 computational physics prize this year. The CCP5 prize for 2020 goes to Kostya for outstanding contributions to modelling and theory of condensed matter phases including liquid state theory, radiation effects and DL_POLY development.
CCP5 is the Collaborative Computational Project for computer simulation of condensed phase materials at length scales spanning from atomistic to mesoscopic levels. Materials of interest include liquids, polymers, solids, surface materials and macromolecules. CCP5 is a research community funded predominantly by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) of Great Britain.
